kota kinabalu with the kids
i spent my birthday 2016 in sabah and this year, i still havent got a clue on where to go. i'd say, birthday is the legit excuse to eat cake and for a getaway! anywayyyyy, we are planning for another trip to sabah yay :D
last trip we spent 5 days 4 nights there and oh boy, that wasn't sufficient enough to cover everything on my list! now that we're travelling with the kiddos, we try to be more flexible and definitely cant have a very packed schedule as we have to include their nap times as well.
sleepy kids= cranky kids= 😱😱😱
we basically went to kundasang and you definitely can't missed the dairy farm. probably a bit of lalat here and there (hey, got lembu and kambing and all kan?) but the view is subhanallah, so pretty! too bad that it rained not long after we arrived. booo!
we stayed overnight at ayana holiday resort. very basic but decent enough with the low price i've paid for lah! not recommended for those with small kids. you gotta carry your bags and hold on tight to your kids while going up and down the stairs; too hassle! and thanks to our active kids; running here and there in the small room that we ended up got a scolding from the occupants above us. sorrylah dude!
the rest of the holiday was spent in kota kinabalu. brought the kiddos for island hopping at the taman tunku abdul rahman. sapi was too congested and crowded. mamutik was like sooo pretty!
AHN enjoyed feeding the fish at manukan.
we also went to the lok kawi wildlife park. very big and well maintained area.
the animal show was entertaining!
awwww sweet moment like this melts my heart. please be kind to one another ok kiddos.
anddd if you have the time, do go for a treat at Tepi Laut Makan Street, Shangri-La's Rasa Ria Resort & Spa. Reasonable price for a buffet dinner AND a cultural show. what not to love when you have a view like this for dinner? thanks hubster for the birthday treat.
probably not worth mentioning here would be the rumah terbalik. we did have fun at the 3D wonders museum but the rumah terbalik, hmm probably not. basically everything just glued on upside down. pening kepala i throughout the house tour.
this time around, i'm planning to drop by tawau as well. the kapalai island is too pretty to be missed! definitely need to save a lot for that... any recommendations on what to do in tawau with the kids?
